First Aid program

The Cameroon Association of ActiveYouths (CAMAAY) places volunteers fromaround the world in Cameroon villages,where they work cooperatively withschools, local councils, communityleaders, and women’s groups to develophumane, earth-friendly solutions thataddress challenges in education,agriculture, the environment, and qualityof life. 

CAMAAY serves the northwest part ofCameroon, with its duty station atBamenda. With the current civic unrestsituation in that part of the country,CAMAAY focuses its strength onempowering rural women in the area,improving agriculture by providing schoolgardens in the community and improvingclean water supply through theNorthwest region of Cameroon. 

The Northwest Region, where CAMAAYoperates, is the third most populatedprovince in Cameroon. Bamenda, alsoknown as Abakwa and Mankon Town, isthe capital of the North West Region. It isan amalgamation of seven villages –Mankon, Mendakwe, Nkwen, Chomba,Mbatu, Nsongwa and Santa. As a regionalcentre, the city has numerous markets,banks, and offices.
