CHILD PROTECTION PROJECT FOR CHILDREN IN ORPHANAGES IN CAMEROON

BACKGROUND
This project focuses on identifying the needs of children living in orphanages in Cameroon and finding
possible solutions to address the issues. The aim is to promote cooperation and development by
improving the living conditions of vulnerable children. Through a combination of research, identification
of needs, and collaboration with stakeholders, the project seeks to address the challenges faced by
children in orphanages, including lack of access to basic needs such as food and water, shelter, and
education, health and basic sanitation and hygiene as well as social and emotional support. The project
team will work closely with orphanage staff, government agencies, and other organizations to identify
solutions that are sustainable and tailored to the specific needs of each orphanage. Ultimately, the
project seeks to achieve sustainable and impactful change by improving the well-being of children living
in orphanages in Cameroon and promote positive change in the broader community.
GOAL

The project aims to promote cooperation and development by improving the overall well-being of these
children. By addressing these diverse needs, the project contributes to the achievement of several
United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG 1: NO POVERTY; SDG 2: ZERO HUNGER;
SDG 3: GOOD HEALTH AND WELL-BEING; SDG 4: QUALITY EDUCATION; SDG 6: CLEAN WATER AND
SANITATION and SDG 10: REDUCED INEQUALITIES.
OBJECTIVES:
The project seeks to improve the living conditions of vulnerable children in orphanages in Cameroon and
promote positive change in the broader community, with a focus on achieving sustainable development.
